Brent is President and CEO of the Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists®,  a national sponsorship marketing consulting firm assisting non-profits, charities, member associations, municipalities, facilities, sport organizations, events, festivals, and programs to generate new or incremental monies for their facilities, programs and events. For almost 35 years Brent has worked directly or indirectly with dozens of large, medium and small charities, non-profits, sport organizations, municipalities, events and festivals as well as Canadian brands, corporations and businesses to develop, audit, enhance, design, and build effective sponsorship marketing and revenue programs. Brent is a thought leader and innovator in the sponsorship marketing industry in Canada.

Brent annually delivers over 30 keynote and workshop session across Canada including recently with such organizations as Festivals and Events Ontario Conference, Federation of Canadian Municipalities Conference, Alberta Urban Municipalities Conference, Alberta Association for Agricultural Societies, Sport Tourism Canada, Conference Board of Canada, BC Parks and Recreation Association, Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association, Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators Saskatchewan Urban Municipality Association as well as AFP Chapter events and conferences including AFP Toronto Congress and Banff Compass and others.

Most of Brent and his team’s work is with those organizations that sell sponsorship. He helps those organizations to determine what they truly have for sale from a sponsorship marketing perspective (beyond the banners and logos); what those assets are worth and then supports them with strategic plan development and commercial naming rights and sponsorship policy services. In addition, he and his team work one on one with the client’s staff to make them successful. If that means going on calls with them or helping to custom design a proposal or prospect development, Brent and his team are there to serve.

Brent also works with corporations / brands to help them maximize their ROI on their sponsorship investments.

Brent is the author of Amazon.ca’s #1 Best seller in the Nonprofit Marketing and Communications category: Reality Check – Straight Talk about Sponsorship Marketing. Brent is a regular speaker at conferences and conventions as well as a TEDx presenter on “Busting the Work-Life Balance Myth”.

The company itself is headquartered in Calgary, but his team is based coast to coast across the country to serve their clients with team members in Atlantic Canada, Toronto area, the prairies and Brent himself is based in Nanaimo BC where he lives with his 17-year-old daughter and wife of 20+ years. To ensure Brent can be involved with every client, he travels the country all year. Annually he will be on the road about 150 days a year and rack up 100+ flights.
