Remembering Jenny

August 13, 2024, marked the 13th Anniversary of our beloved niece, Jennifer Ellen Shepherd, who died by suicide.  Our hearts still ache for her, and learning to live without her here on earth has been more than devasting.

When it happened, these words, “It kicked the shit out of our souls,” were used to describe somehow the pain that we were going through.  Although time is a gift and has helped to endure this pain, it has somewhat subsided, but it will forever be there.

October 20th is a day our family will always remember. This year, Jenny would have been celebrating her 45th birthday.
