15 simple, cost-effective tips to building your trade show table
- Ask the contact person managing the trade show for information and book the date.
- Ensure that you communicate in writing and by phone.
- Find out about the fees. How will the payment be accepted? Ask for a receipt.
- What does the fee include? For example, what size is the table, will there be one or two chairs?
- Don’t forget to bring your banner.
- Bring an extension cord and a tablecloth.
- Will there be food and beverages on-site? Or should you pack a lunch?
- What are you NOT allowed to bring?
- Ask if children will be attending the event. Bring some complimentary crayons.
- Have your catch-all admin box handy with pens, paper, business card and holder, scissors, tape, hand sanitizer, etc.
- Bring your laptop computer to showcase what you promote; show people your website.
- Give something to each person that stops to chat, like chocolates and your organization’s swag.
- Bring your calendar to schedule any appointments when someone wants to connect.
- Put treats on your table to give to your guests who visit with you.
- Have a door prize and a random draw of business cards in a bowl – follow up with everyone who entered your draw. They could be your next client(s).
