National Philanthropy Day or NDP was created in the United States in 1986 where President Reagan declared November 15 as the National Day of Philanthropy. In 2012, Canada joined in and welcomed the annual day of giving.
This special day annually celebrates the various charitable undertakings that EVERYONE does to make a difference and create an impact in their communities. The word philanthropy is derived from Latin and Greek, and the overall meaning is love for mankind.
Whether you have given:
your time to help the local food bank
your video-making expertise to help the kids showcase what they do best at the Boys & Girls Club
or your money/stocks to support your charity of choice
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! We celebrate YOU!
