Monkey See, Monkey Do!

My husband Stan and I spent a week in the beautiful Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in April 2024, a much needed and long overdue vacation. In addition to the cascading giant palm trees swaying in the misty breeze, ensuring that our skin was only kissed by the sun but not burned, and listening to the rippling waves in the ocean, we were thrilled to go on an excursion that was unique to us.

Stan and I are both big kids at heart.  We love animals and are most content when we are in their presence as they bring so much joy to our souls.

We are grateful to have had the chance to visit Monkeyland!  As you can clearly see in the photo above these tiny little monkeys are jumping all over us and we are loving it.  They are capuchin monkeys and they weigh approximately one to two pounds. They are incredibly light on their feet and they are very gentle.  This was one of the best experiences ever! One of our Bucket List items is now checked off, although I would do it again in a heartbeat!

So, what do these monkeys have in common with fundraising and communications you might ask? Absolutely nothing.  We are thankful for the opportunity to visit another country, learn about another culture, and enjoy some rest and relaxation.

BTW, I kissed a monkey, and I liked it!  And I am not talking about Stan!

Pawsitively yours,
