Karaoke for a Cause- Saturday, March 26, 2022
The Alzheimer’s Face Off presented by Christenson Communities Ltd. is an Edmonton-based tournament that pairs hockey enthusiasts with some of their favorite NHL Alumni. This fun-filled weekend event focuses on raising funds to enable the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories to continue providing help for today through free education programs and support services for those living with dementia and their families and hope for tomorrow through research initiatives right here in Alberta. On Saturday, March 26, 2022, in support of the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories, the President of Christenson Development Ltd., Greg Christenson, and his partner, Jill Didow, hosted an over-the-top fantastic and much-needed fun in-person event that raised more than $3,500. The Christenson family was there to support the cause and support Greg, the firstborn of five children, as shared by the family matriarch Joyce Christenson.
The Tap Out Pub was packed to capacity with more than 100 people that came out to support the charity and to have a good time. Each person donated $20, which was a good deal for entertainment, a silent auction, food, and a chance to sing among the Karaoke greats like Greg Christenson and Michael Duchnij. Pounce Support Services™ Founder Kat Mooney and her friends had an incredible time, as you can see from the photos below.
For many, it was one of the first fun nights out with friends in-person without having to wear a mask. If this night is anything we can expect for our ‘new’ normal, let’s bring it on!
Thank you, Jill and Greg, for your invitation – we look forward to your next fundraising event!
