This song is from the musical HAIR. In my 1983 (yes we’re traveling back in time) drama production, I was a lead dancer at James Lyng High School in Montreal only we called our musical AQUARIUS where I choose the name Stardust for my hippy character. It was my fondest memory of high school and I am still searching for the VHS video. I know it’s out there somewhere, so if you happen to have it, please let me know! 

Some of you may remember the George Springate TV show.  Us teenagers received a thrill of a lifetime as we were invited to dance on the George Springate TV show! 

Thanks to our Drama teachers, Mr. Ted Cooney and Ms. Lavalee, and our Cheorgraher and my first dance teacher, Heather Mackenzie – I hope that this article reaches you.  Thank you for making a difference in our lives.

If truth be told, yes I was born in the 1960s but I think I missed the mark just by a smidge – I love the music, the vibe, the clothing, and the perceived freedom of the 1960s.  None the less I am very happy to have lived it up on what was once the CHEERS dance floor with my lifetime Montreal buddies Karen Baker, Diane Baron, Cathy Morency, and Kim Smith in the late 80s and early 90s.  It seems like yesterday.

Anyhow, back to those four words above. This is what I wish for all of you:

Love – may you have so much love and friendship.
Peace – this is my wish for our world.
Freedom – may we all be free in spirit.
Happiness – we can never have too much so reach for the sky and you will be among the stars!
