Is Your Holiday Fundraising Campaign Letter Ready?

As we return from the summer holiday season, we begin to settle into our back-to-school and back-to-work routines; it’s time to think about how you will connect with your donors when you ask them to donate to your organization.

The first thing to remember is that it’s about your donors and what they want to accomplish with their charitable gifts to your organization.  Be sure to listen to their INTENTIONS.

As fundraising professionals, our job is to engage donors with as many opportunities to give as they wish without becoming a pain in the butt. Your organization’s programs and services are a beacon of light that shines into a donor’s heart. Your job is to inspire them to give and to provide the opportunities to give.  Be sure to make it EASY to give!  And, as mentioned, it’s about them.

What is the Timeline to Send Your Holiday Campaign Letter?

Strive to have your letter completed and ready to drop into the mail by the first week of November 2024.  But that seems early right…YES! The rationale is to ensure that your ASK is among the first so that donors and prospective donors can see and give to your organization.
